Our Engineering team are rewriting the rulebook on OS design to create HadeanOS. It is distributed-first, robust to scaling, efficient, compact and fast. On this foundation we are building Aether Engine, a simulation framework capable of tackling the vast complexity of tomorrow’s gaming, life science and physical simulation challenges.

As our new QA Team lead you will be key to our growth by:

  • Ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are captured consistently to a high-standard, coaching and mentoring to continuously improve
  • Set the quality metrics across the different product lines
  • Designing and implementing end-to-end test code and infrastructure along with liaising with the rest of the team to use common practices and improving the overall adoption of automated testing to meet target quality improvements
  • Leading a team developing, executing and maintaining Test Frameworks using functional and nonfunctional test tools aiming to ensure quality and increase efficiency of delivery and as an integral part of the SDLC and release process
  • Owning the JIRA and Confluence setup to guarantee the adequate tracking and documenting is in place


What we’re looking for:

  • Experience owning end to end the QA function, even in a small company
  • Strong understanding of QA testing practices and software development lifecycle
  • Experience coaching and facilitating gathering requirements and defining acceptance criteria
  • Experience with any continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Buildbot, TeamCity, Bamboo, TravisCI ... )
  • Ability to drive quality improvements across the board, also in non-code related aspects, like technical documentation, JIRA setup, consistency in terminology, meeting engagement, agile ceremonies
  • Experience interviewing and hiring QA engineers / SDET

Nice but not necessary:

  • Have assisted, enhanced & built automation frameworks from scratch
  • Have built QA for deep-tech, like OSes or distributed frameworks
  • Scrum master training/experience
  • Experience building and developing a team

Salary: £65,000 to £85,000
